Marrocka Emu Farm Tour
Registration for this event opens on 7 July 2026
Presenter: Ian Marston
A tour of Marrocka Emu Farm at The Rock offers a rare chance to explore one of the few emu farms accessible to the public in Australia.
As the emu eggs are expected to hatch around August this is an ideal time to observe the frolicking chicks and meet adult emus at a safe distance.
Over morning tea, you'll hear the story of Marrocka and learn about their emu products. Did you know that Marrocka emus supply the plume feathers for the slouch hats of the Army's Armoured Corps?
Cost is $30 payable on registration and includes the tour, talk and a simple morning tea.
Numbers are needed by 7 August and no refund will be given after this date.
Allow 45 minutes for travel and assembly time.
In order to arrange car pooling please let Judy know if you are willing to offer a lift or will require one. A contribution to your driver for petrol would be appreciated.
Wear closed in shoes and your lanyard.
